Bursary
East Coast CU Bursary Program
Our bursary program is for students going into their first year of post-secondary education. It is awarded based on community and school involvement, rather than grades.
Eligibility:
- Be a member or the child or grandchild of a member of East Coast Credit Union
- Be enrolled full-time for your first year at an accredited vocational program, college, or university for the upcoming academic year
- Complete and submit before the deadline
Bursary
Dave McLean Bursary
Offered by Atlantic credit unions, the Dave MacLean Bursary Endowment, provides bursaries for Aboriginal Canadians and African Nova Scotians who demonstrate severe financial need.
Eligibility:
- Aboriginal Canadians and African Nova Scotian high school graduates from Atlantic Canada
- Be attending St. Francis Xavier University, who demonstrate severe financial need

Prize
East Coast Credit Union Prize in Entrepreneurship
East Coast CU funds this initiative for graduating BAA students at St. Francis Xavier University. Awarded to a Business graduate, the $500 East Coast Credit Union Prize in Entrepreneurship recognizes outstanding academic achievement within the entrepreneurship area.
Scholarship
Coady Change Leader Campaign
This partnership with community members provides scholarships for people to attend Coady leadership education programs. These programs provide education on social change, including community development, climate resilience, and women’s leadership. East Coast CU has pledged $25,000 to help develop the campaign.
